Our bed and breakfast is a rural retreat and when relaxing on the deck on a warm summers day looking out to the surrounding hills, a true rural vista.
Our home includes two double rooms and one private studio for guests. We are just 3km from Paihia to enjoy all of your Island Boat Trips, Russell, Waitangi and of course the famous Golf Course adjacent to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. A two minute drive to the fabulous Haruru Falls and only a further ten minute drive to Kerikeri.
All of these places of interest are easily accessible from where we are located.
Enjoy your Breakfast and Dinner (by arrangement) AL Fresco on our wonderful deck either listening to the local bird life or watching the amazing sunsets in a very relaxed atmosphere.
Your Hosts John and Mike
John has worked for most of his career in the hospitality industry in the United Kingdom and completed all of his training as Chef. Whilst living in New Zealand for the last eleven years he has been involved in the retail industry.
So returning to the Hospitality Industry though on a smaller scale John looks forward to welcoming our guests to LONGHOUSE.
Mike travelled to the United Kingdom on his O.E. and lived and worked there for ten years. He worked for an International Airline while there and in 1999 decided to return home with John in tow. On arrival back in New Zealand Mike is now working with a Government Department that takes him back to Auckland on a semi regular basis.
